GMT = UK Navy convention UTC = World Standardized time (Coordinated Universal Time)
For all intents and purposes, GMT=UTC but GMT is so... 70s ;)
At least the GMT/UTC debate during unscheduled downtimes is something you can rely on. Guess there are some things not even CCP can screw up...

Did you consider to stop sleeping? The subscription clock is also ticking at night and you could spend more time online...

Originally by: Avalon Ranger Edited by: Avalon Ranger on 07/05/2010 15:00:31 I understand that issue can arises and if this continued for, say, 24 hours then I would also be joining the band wagon to ask for some form of compensation.
However.
Rather than whining about it and saying it's not acceptable when we all know mistakes happen I'd like to suggest that once it's sorted you explain in as much detail as legally possible why the even happened. I dislike being left in the dark most of all. I will grant that mistakes are made and can happen but proof and reasons would be an intelligent step forward.
I assume that during some routine maintenance someone did something wrong and now you're having to do the good olde Database Recovery. Please in future after an event such as this you give us a write up.
Ignore the threats as they're mostly empty, much like the lives of the people making them, but at least let us guys and girls waiting quietly in the background for the error to be corrected the decency of a good explanation.
No threats, no whining.. Just a little knowledge goes a long way.
Confirming you are quietly waiting in the background.
Do I need to post a text of similar length to join you in your silent effort?
